Scott Murray

Scott Murray’s practice focusses on real estate, wills and estates, corporate matters, and non-contentious family law matters.

Alongside his work commitments, Scott volunteers as a director of the United Way of Southern Interior BC, and sits on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law (Okanagan) subsection.

Scott grew up in Victoria, attended law school at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and moved to the Okanagan in 2015 after cutting his legal teeth in Vancouver.

At home, Scott enjoys playing with impractical British cars, cooking a limited variety of cuisines poorly, and sipping disturbingly peaty Scotch.  Before his legal career, Scott obtained two degrees in history (from the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University), and he keeps up this interest in areas as diverse as the Napoleonic-era Royal Navy and the environmental history of the Pacific coast of North America. Scott also has a background in music, and particularly favours the works of Henry Purcell and Elton John. Since moving to the Okanagan, Scott has made a point of being sure to enjoy all the fruits – both literal and figurative – that it has to offer.
