Jack Morrison
Lawyer
Bailey Morrison Murray is an established Kelowna law firm with a reputation for excellence amongst the public and fellow professionals.
In 1999, lawyers Doug Bailey and Jack Morrison founded our firm as Bailey Morrison. Their goal was the creation of a boutique firm focused on both top-tier legal work and the finest customer service, all done at reasonable rates and in a friendly, low-key environment. With the addition of partner Scott Murray, the firm continues these traditions as Bailey Morrison Murray.
At Bailey Morrison Murray, we have the experience and knowledge to provide excellent legal services that meet your needs.
Lawyer
Jack joined the former Kelowna firm Wageman Bailey in 1982, after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan law school. In 1999, Jack left Wageman Bailey to establish Bailey Morrison alongside Doug Bailey. Jack’s practice is primarily limited to commercial real estate matters and acting for mortgage lenders.
Corporate Legal Assistant
Hailing originally from beautiful Banff, Karyn Brewster is our capable and effervescent corporate legal assistant. Karyn’s favourite part of her job is the variety of her work. Outside of work, Karyn enjoys a nice pinot gris, a good podcast and hiking with her two and four-legged family members.
Lawyer
Scott Murray’s practice focusses on real estate, wills and estates, corporate matters, and non-contentious family law matters.
Alongside his work commitments, Scott volunteers as a director of the United Way of Southern Interior BC, and sits on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law (Okanagan) subsection.
Scott grew up in Victoria, attended law school at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and moved to the Okanagan in 2015 after cutting his legal teeth in Vancouver.
At home, Scott enjoys playing with impractical British cars, cooking a limited variety of cuisines poorly, and sipping disturbingly peaty Scotch. Before his legal career, Scott obtained two degrees in history (from the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University), and he keeps up this interest in areas as diverse as the Napoleonic-era Royal Navy and the environmental history of the Pacific coast of North America. Scott also has a background in music, and particularly favours the works of Henry Purcell and Elton John. Since moving to the Okanagan, Scott has made a point of being sure to enjoy all the fruits – both literal and figurative – that it has to offer.
